Default my 2001 ws6 why do I not see them on many WS6

I have a 2001 WS6 the rims on my car I dont see on many other WS6's. Does this make my car rare or what?

if yours is an 01 then those rims were put on by a previous owner perhaps-those are the salad shooter rims that GM put on some 2000 WS6's

unsure of why you'd have them

You are probably right, I dont know why anybody would want to put them on there car, in replace of the five star. Do you know if it was even an opiton in 2001 or just 2000?

I always thought it was just 2000. I'm not a real big fan of them to be honest.

it was an option for 2000 alone, the reason they may have put the rims on, are most likely that they thouhgt it was unique and differemnt-also the rims on the 01-02 WS6's are quite ugly 17" 5 stars--98-00 had the nicer ones and 00 also had the option of salad shooters (love/hate)

hope that helps

I think they look pretty nice, I'd keep them around and see what they'll do for you at a car show.

Those are pretty rare from what I understand? Very little WS6's came with those wheels from the factory. Maybe you should try to sell them and buy some that you like better? (If you don't like them that is) Seems like you could get a decent amount of money out of them.

My guess would be that the wheels were on a leftover 2000 model and someone wanted the 2000, but not with those wheels so the dealer swapped wheels. Or maybe someone that bought your car origianlly saw them and had the dealer swap them from a a left over 2000

My friend's dad is a General manager at a local Chevrolet dealership, and he did it on a pair of SS Camaros. One had chrome 10 spokes and the guy didn't like them and asked the to swap them with the Chrome ZR1 style off another SS on the lot.

Yeah those are rare. I remember seeing another thread on here about them. They only made a certain amount of them for one year. Id hang on to them. Maybe in 20 years you'll be the only one with them!
