Default Advise: Help just purchased Boyd Coddington's smoothie 2 wheels and need advise

Hey all:

I just purchased some Boydd Coddington's smoothie 2 wheels for my 02 Z-28 and had a few questions.

1st my 02 Z-28 is lowered with the Eibach pro-kit which is 1.2

I went with 17X10'S all the way around and want to make sure I wont have any problems with the 10'S on the front. I will be running Fuzion 275/40/17 on the fronts. I think the offset is 38. I have been trying to find all the info on these wheels and see a few people on here have them but went with the 17X8'S on the front. Will the rub or hit on hard turns? I was told by the vendor I wont have any problems but I still wanted to hear from everyone on here first.

Also on the rear I went with the nitto drag radial 315/35/17 tires and wanted to see if I will have any problems with rubbing also on the back?

Please if you have these wheels share with me any problems or if I went the wrong way.

The rims will be shipping out on Monday

Thanks

I can call on Monday and see if I can get the 17X10'S changed to a 17X8 but wanted to find out first if I will have any problems.

I have Boyd 18x10's on all for corners w/ 285 wide tires and only some very minor rubbing in the front on the plastic fender liner. Only happens at full steering lock though. 315's are really pushing it on a 10" wide wheel and w/ that offset you will have some rubbing issues, but you may be able to fix that w/ a BFH mod.

Can you send me any pictures of your car?

Also on the 315/35/17 nitto tires. They do run smaller then most 315'S plus on there website they state on there that the required rim for there 315/35/17 drag tire is 10-12" with 11 being the best fit. I had 9 1/2 wheels and decided to be a little safer and went with the 10" wheels.

With the 17X10 and a 275/40/17 in front I may not rub at all then.

The 315's will fit, they'll have a slight bulge but nothing drastic and you'll need to hammer the inner fenders a little.

You should be fine with the 315 Nittos.....Contact Todd at Pro Dyno to get the proper offset for the fronts, which I believe is 41p so that they will not rub......the front and rears need different offsets to fit correct..
