Default trying to decide on 17 or 18 inch Fikse's...Advice and Pics needed!

Hey guys,

I want to get the fikse fm/5,....but i can't decide on the 17 or the 18 inch. I wanted to get 17x9 in front and 17x11 in the back. i like the look of that when the car is lowered right. 18's sometimes look like there is too much wheel, and not enough tire for me. but maybe it will look alright,...i don't know. Please post pics of your 17 or 18 in wheels. Any suggestions or advice is welcome. The advatages or disadvatages of either size etc. Thanks!

I would prefer to have all 18s, but I got a helluva deal on these BBS LMs, but you can see the difference between the 17s and 18s from the pic.

18" FM5s look silly with their 17" center and huge stepped old-school style lip. If you are going with Fikses larger than 17s, go with their Profil series so that the centers are also 18" on an 18" wheel.

I really wish I had 18" Fikses. F-bods need a pretty large wheel for their big-body selves.

Go 18's. I did w/ the Profil 13's like others have. 18X9.5 18X11. Won't regret it and there is still considerable tire too. Sorry no pics at the moment.

Here's a local guy's Formula. 17x9.5/18x10.5.

And it runs 10's.

I say go 18s, i had 17s as my last rims and I wanted 18s the entire time.

Either way though, with Fiskes you cant really go wrong.

As Tony said.

IF 17" wheels stick with the Classic line, such as the FM5's. The Classic line was not "designed" for 18" wheels, so they do look goofy IMHO, in 18" sizes.

So the 18" wheels you need to look at the Profil line, which were designed for larger diameters.

Check out the customer car pics at www.fikse.com

I have both.

i've never seen fikse in 18s. At least not in person. But as many have mentioned, the classic line starts to look a little odd in 18s with the same center as the 17s just larger stepped lip. I have 17s and them seem to do fine

These are on a Mustang, but they are 18's all around. 9.5 wide in front and 10.5 wide in back I believe. Go 18's!
