Default Tire size for 18 by 7.5

Got some wheels dirt cheap they are 18 by 7.5 +35mm
They had some thrashed 235 40 18. on them I would like to go a little wider you have any sugestions?
Would 245 be safe on a 7.5 inch rim?

245s would fit no problem... 255 would be pushing it.. I'd stick with 245s

Goodyear GS-D3 [summer tire] has excellent dry and wet traction.. downside is it's expensive

BF Goodrich - KDW or KDWS are great tires.. KDW - summer : KDWS - All season

Continental ContiExtreme Contact - I love this tire.. Have had it on my dad's 02 Lexus GS 400 : my 99 Pontiac Grand Prix GTX : aunt's 01 Lexus ES 300 etc etc... This tire is all season, Z-Rated, aggressive thread design and unbelievable traction in dry, wet and snow!!.. The best part is.. it's not expensive at all.. Tirerack has it, discount tire doesn't..

Hope that helped!!
