Smallest Radial for 16" Snowflake
Anyone know offhand what is the smallest standard radial (width wise) tire that i can put on a stock 16" snowflake 10 spoke wheel?
I know the 6bangers came with a skinnier tire and i just wanted to know thier size.
Thanks

If you're only using it as a "substitute skinny" for the track, you might be able to get a 215/60-16 on there, otherwise for street use a 225/55-16 is as small as you want to go!

Smallest stock was 235.
Manufacturers provide rim widths for thier tires. It will vary slightly with the tire you intend to use.
I wouldn't go lower than 235's for a daily driver. For the strip I'd stick with the manufacturer recommendation. Ya don't want tire problems at 110mph.

The V6's that came with steel wheels had 215/60/16. They came on 7.5 inch wide rims though. They will fit on the 16 x 8.
The V6's that came with the aluminum wheels had 235/55/16. Some automatic Z28's also came with this size tire.
I don't believe any manufacturer's make tires in either of these sizes that will handle high speeds though.

any one use a P215 60 R16 on their front tires for a poor mans skinny?
If im not mistaken, from looking at specs, those tires are within a pound or 2 of the stock P245-50's. can anyone else verify this? Weight savings dosent seem to be huge then, but less rubber on the ground so this may help at the track?
Thanks
