Default 315 width question

I have GSD3's in a 315 series in the rear on my SS. These tires are too wide and rub no matter what i have tried. Does anyone have a recommendation of another brand of tire in a 315 series which aren't as wide? This rubbing is driving me crazy. I want to go with KD's but not sure just how much narrower they are. I know Nittos are relatively narrow but are they a good tire? I am running a double rod ended aphb and have already BFH'ed many times and have rolled the fenders. I also went with the Z28 bump stops as well. I really don't want to add any more height to the rear, already running DMS in the back so I'm about as high as I want to get. Thanks for any input...

Nitto's, when they're in stock. Only problem I had was the bump stops if the suspension went to high, like leaving my driveway or something.

I have read from the AFS wheels site that putting pan hard rods on takes care of the wheel rub problem.

Actually if you're lowered an adjustable PHR is a must. I had 315 Sumitomos on my '99 lowered w/ LG G2 springs. Once the rear was centered the only time I rubbed was taking a corner hard or hitting a big dip. No cutting, rolling, or BFH needed.

I had the 315 Sumitomos and am now running the 315 Nitto drag radials. Stock ride height, and they don't rub unless I'm taking a sharp turn right or left going onto a steep hill.

I have had nitto drags in the past, needed to remove the bump stops and hammer in the wells a little bit, and then i switched to BFG drags and they rub when i turn, had to grind down where the bump stops are mounted or you can just cut them off with a sawsall (since theyre pointless) and hammer a couples spots in again, but now theyre fine, I'm putting on BMR prings soon and there wont be a problem

What type of wheels do you have? Do you know the offset?

I'm running 50mm offset. My problem is the tires, they are just too wide. I'm even considering going back to the 9.5's or the 18 X 10.5's with 295's. I love to drive the car hard and when the tires rub, it drives me nuts. I guess the basic fact is that our cars weren't designed for 315's without major work. Is there somewhere where it lists the actual widths of some 315 series tires?

I have the same tires, and do not have any rubbing. My wheels stick out a little more due to the 46mm offset though. Maybe you could try a small spacer, or do some more BFH? It doesn't rub all the time, right? Just with aggressive driving?

The GS-D3 is more like a 335 tire. It's absolutely jinormous.

I measured a width of 13.1 on my GS-D3's. I'm thinking of KD's but I think they run a bit on the wide side too.
