Im not set on oem. Im kinda torn on what wheels i want right now. I really want a 315 but i definately dont want zr1s and 99,000 people have TTIIs. I dont know if i want to have the "hot new rims" out and get more narrow tires on the rear or if i want to stick with my 315 idea on TTIIs.

im in your same exact situation... cant decide between tt2's, or c6 zo6 wheels...and i think im going with the tt2's, i know everybody says that everybody and there mom has them, but theres nobody in my area that i hang out with (we have a little gang of about 10-12 f-bodies/y-bodies, so ill be the only one in my area, and thats all that matters.
basically, what ive been thinking is, i want my car to stand out, i want it to be noticed by car enthusiasts, and those who know nothing about cars... and if im going to spend 1k on wheels, its gotta be perfect. i figure, i could go with the c6 zo6 wheels, and be just like any other car on the road, because to somebody who doesnt know cars, or wheels, they look like any other rim out there, no staggered look (unless you look from behind)... but with the tt2's, they arent like many other wheels you see on the road, you can obviously see the staggered look from any angle, the rears have a deeper lip then the front, and even those who know nothing will notice that, and notice the 315's and be like... DAYUM, thats a sweet car. and thats what im going for, lol. sorry for my novel, but you have to consider what you want out of your car, looks wise, do you want to stand out to everybody on the street, or just go with something only those who know wheels would recognize?

also put it this way... a good way to think about what look you want to go for, picture your car with both wheels, next to something else, like an 03-04 cobra, evo, gto, or anything like that... what im getting as is, i want my car to be the one to stand out and be better/meaner looking than ANYTHING i pull up next to, simple as that.

I know what you mean, I LOVE the look of a fat polished lip on rims and love 315s. The new z06 wheels stand out some and grab a fair amount of attention because they are chrome, I dont think they look generic, BUT in about 3 months everyone on earth will have them lol. TTIIs are kinda timeless and look sick on TAs. Im sure ill end up getting them but just weighing out all options because dropping $1400 on wheels/tires needs to be the right choice lol. Its hard for the NBM guys to select rims damnit. Good luck and nice ride!

ya, ive considered almost every wheel out there, and still seem to come right back to the tt2's, basically because you cant go wrong, ive never seen a t/a with tt2's that didnt look good... ever. and i HAVE seen cars with other wheels that i didnt like, maybe it was the stance, or the angle, or the color of the car, i dont know but cant go wrong with tt2's.
and ya chrome would be nice, but if i go tt2's, im definately keeping up on them, ive gotten alot of tips from reputable people on keeping up on polished wheels, and making them look as good if not better than chrome.

Chrome C6s are tight looking and C6 Z06s are even better but a TTII with a 315 is pretty ******* sick. I dont want to go bigger than 17" for traction and cost of replacing tires so the C6 Z06 in 17 is a 9.5", not giving alot of room for tire. Im still leaning towards TTIIs because i keep coming back to them everytime. Will probably order this weekend any maybe i can have my prokit installed and calipers/rotors painted by the time they come, instant pimpin
