ET Street Radial questions:
I'm headed to the track on Friday with my new ET Street Radials on the back of the car. This will be the first time I've been to the track with anything other than the Eagle F1's on the car. I've got a few questions:
Burnout? Skip the burnout? Turn 'em over dry to clean 'em off? Back it into the waterbox and do a for real burnout?
Tire pressure? How much?

A4 or M6?
This is how I went about it with an A4 (probably similar with a M6).
I had decent luck rolling thru the water, coming out of it and blipping the throttle, rolling the tires over a bit. Pulled forward a tad out of the water then did a good 10 second burnout on the first run. Every run after that a 5-7 second one should be good. I went out there with 20 lbs of air in the tires cold and ended up at 17 lbs hot gave me the best luck on 255/50/16s. Thats going to depend on how your track is biting too. Just start a little on the high side and lower it down as you need to.

To be honest, in decent heat that thing is probably going to bog.
I'd go with the above post normally.
I'd say you can avoid the waterbox totally, and then spin them real quick to clean them off. I'd go no lower than 20 PSI if you're driving back with them from the track. Unless you pull over to fill them up on the way home.
Try it a couple different ways first. I'd go with this advice, and try doing a bigger burnout, etc. if you are spinning out of the hole.

Just clean them off. No need for a big smokey burnout if you're running the stock converter and gears. You won't be hitting the tires too hard with the stock stuff. No sense in wearing them out prematurely. If you just like to do a nice big burn out, then just disregaurd everything I just typed. I would not worry about the tires hurting the rear as long as the stock gears and converter are in there. I have trouble getting any better than a 1.95 with the stock gears and converter with no wheelspin.

i just got a set of these saturday and all i can say is wow. these things hook better on the street (no burnout) with 25 psi in them than my bfg DRs did at the track with 14 psi in them (burnout). i have a bolt-on car with a 4k stall and 373 gears and even the bfg DRs would turn through 2nd gear on the street. these radials only leave ~8' of rubber from a dead stop launching off the converter @ 3k. an off idle launch DEAD HOOKS, i can't wait to get back to the track with these things. best tire i've had to date.

You'll burn em up quick on the street doing 8' burnouts! I drove on mine for a week inbetween racing two weekends in a row and between the racing and the one big black streaks I made on the street I took half the tread off that were on them when I put them on!

I'm running a vig3200 and I just got a set of ET streets myself. there on a 17X11 rim.... and there the 11.5 ET street. I'm hoping they can overcome the notorious lack of traction found at my local drag strip in bithlo....aka slicklo
