Default Need offsets for Prostars... Please....

i wanted to make sure that i am going the right direction.. I am currently ordering up my weld prostars 15x10 with a 7.5 BS, right? But y do i here everyone go with a 15x8 rim instead. what is the reason and offset. I know the front ones are a standard size BS for the 15x3.5, i believe.... I also know i need wheel spacers and bigger ARP studs and the lugs that correspond to the rims. Any info is helpful to me ... i am looking for a real mean drag car look on my LT1 i am either going with a 275/50/15 or a 325/50/15 also any pics would be good. Thanks.

Some guys just like a 8" rim and smaller tire. You can hook with either. Personally, I like a 10" rim and a wider tire. Just looks better IMO.
