Default C6 ZO6 Wheels on Camaro - Fitment

Hello,

I would like to get a set of C6 ZO6 wheels for my '01 Camaro, i want to get 17x9.5 for the fronts and 18x10.5 for the back. They only offer the backs in a +58mm offset and according to the wheel fitment guide i will need the bfh mod. I dont want these wheels to stick in real far, i would like them even or just inside the outside of the quarter panel. I thought the more postive offset, the more the wheel stuck out, so i dont understand why the bfh mod would be necessary with the +58 mm offset (the wheel fitment guide says only a +50mm to +53mm will fit without the bfh mod and rolling the lips.)

Will this 18x10.5 stick out past the fender? Will I have to bfh the inside of my wheel wells? TO my understanding they will stick out further then a +50mm to +53mm so i wont have to bfh the wheel wells? What size tire could i run on the back without having problems? 295? 305? 315? I dont want to roll my lips for sure, i guess if i had to hit the inner well that is ok, but i dont want the wheels stickin in very far, the car is stock height for now.

Any help would be good, also if you have pics. Thanks alot for the info, Dave

I'm getting ready to do the same thing. The more offset, the more the wheel moves to the inside. These won't stick out and you won't have to modify your fender lip. You can run 295's in the back. Without spacers, you may need the BFH mod--which isn't a big deal. I'm looking at the same wheels and considering running a small spacer to move them out a bit (another option). Search for pics, there are quite a few out there. Also, the old style Z06 wheels had the same offset in the 10.5 width I believe.

lookin good, thanks alot, now if i wanted to space em out a bit, who makes nice spacers? If anyone has more pics, please post em up..

I was thinkin of running a 17" wheel in the front and 18" out back..

FOr the front will a 17x9.5" with a +53mm offset stick in a bit? I like the tires about flush with the body line, the car is stock height now but will get lowered a bit soon. Thanks again, dave

I am buying some 18" and 19" C6 wheels for my 98 Z28. I am told that they are offset. I am a newbie when it comes to wheel fitment. Will I have any issues?

Wow, those wheels look great! I'm dead set on getting this early next year, good to know there aren't any issues on these.
