No M/T's for 315/35/17? Alternatives?
I can see that many prefer the ET streets to Nittos for traction on the street. I currently have Nitto 555R's in 315/35/17.
I can't find the M/T's in that size, so I presume they need the taller sidewall?
What options do I have that will hook better than the Nitto's?
The wheels are CCW 17", I think 10.5" width.
Thanks for any help,
Rich

M/T makes a 26/11.50/17 ET Street.
The overall diameter on the 315/35/17 is 25.68". Increasing the diameter to 26" would be a pretty mild change, right? Making my 3.50 rear seem a little more like 3.55? Or is it the other way around... can never remember.

My experience with the M/T's suggests that the narrower M/T will easily hook better than the wider Nitto. It should 60 ft. significantly quicker. On the downside, the M/T is not good in the rain, and you really don't want to daily drive it. Also the sidewalls are way softer on the M/T so handling is gone too, but they are awesome in a straight line. This info does not apply to the M/T drag radial.

I think I'm going to stick with drag radials; I drive the car on the street, although not daily. Am I hearing that 315/35/17 BFG drag radials have better traction than the Nitto 555Rs?
Thanks again for the info, guys...

If you drive around on the street, avoid the M/T drag radials if there is even the slightest bit of wetness on the road. Holy **** I had to drive 15 mph when I got stuck in a light summer shower while on those M/T drag radials. They wanted to slide right off the road.
Nittos are much better for daily-drivers, they handle rain okay.

I've owned, and currently own all three brands mentioned. Here is how I categorize them.
Best for daily-driving and slower wear, in order:
1. Nitto
2. BFG
3. M/T

1. Nitto
2. BFG
3. M/T

Not to highjack here, but has anyone tried the M&H drag radials?
How good they work and how long they last?
I like the M/Ts but I dont get any miles out of them due to them being so soft and my spool..

I have the 315 BFG's and they don't hook on the street with the power I make. I had 275 Nittos, when warmed (street driven) .. they got better traction than the BFGs. They still wouldn't "Hook" on the street .. but did better than the 20 foot long (3 times in row!!!) black marks left my the BFG's!
I do like the look of the BFG's ... nice and wide. But that's the only thing nice I have to say about them.

Nonetheless, I need to find a replacement for the Nitto's.
