Default What is your back spacing?

I Have a 2001 trans am and i am wondering what back spacing i would need to achieve a tough look as well as good looking for my car. I am wanting to go with a 15x8 or 15x10 and then run a 10- 12 in wide tire. but im not sure of what kind of backspace i need to acheive the look were the tires dont stick out really far. Would i need to do any shaving off of the caliper? I am looking at the weld prostars and summit star wheels any imput would be great. thanks

For a 15 x 8 wheel, a 5.5" backspacing is recommended.
For a 15 x 10 wheel, a 7.5" backspacing is recommended.

Would i need to do any shaving off of the caliper? Yes
