Default see through tire.

http://www.joe-ks.com/archives_sep2006/Tweel.htm

Radical new tire design by Michelin. The next generation of tires.

They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show.

< /FONT>
These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon.

The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these tires.

This is what great R&D will do, and just think of the impact on existing technology:

A. no more air valves...
B. no more air compressors at gas stations...
C. no more repair kits...
D. no more flats...

SCAN DOWN & SEE.

These are actual pictures taken in the South Carolina plant of Michelin. It will be awhile before they are available to the automotive industry.

They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show.

WTF??? Those are hideous. At least put a sidewall on them to cover it up and make it LOOK better.

They would put a sidewall on them but that would kinda defeat the purpose of showing how they are made and what technology they are using!! I think that it would be great to never worry about a flat again. Check out the plexiglass wheels to go with them: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...91_35_full.jpg

Better have some nice brakes/rotors!! Can you imagine trying to keep those clean!!

I thought I remembered reading that they would have a sidewall when the production version was released....but I could be wrong.

They will look like normal tires, cost half of what you pay now, and last YEARS longer. So how is that gay if it saves you GOBS of cash?
