I had some FK451'S on my old 18" ZO6's like 3 years ago, the car was slow back then, lid and cut out and they did alright, never had a traction issue but I think most of that was due to the weight of the wheel (18x10.5) and the lack of power. It depends what you are looking for, traction? you may want to look somewhere else, just a DD tire? they are great.

Get z rated because I got some that aren't and they roll over in the turns. I hate them that is why I burned them off. Can't really beat the price but you get what you pay for.

They're ok. Not the best traction tire... but I suppose thats common sense.

Supposedly these are comparable to KDs on the street, for about $75.00 a tire less.

I just bought some falken ze512s for my camaro. IMO they are doing good. Im not putting a lot of power to the ground though so who knows. As far as comfort they are pretty quite on the freeway.

I had the Ze-512's on my LS1 T/A, and they were okay for a while, but they wore out really fast, and I was easy on those tires..so although they are inexpensive, I won't buy them again, just for the fact that they wear out so damn fast.

I also didn't like that they look a lot narrower than other 245 width tires...a few of my friends had different brands of 245's and mine looked so much more narrow than theres...could have all been in my head though.

new 615 or old 215? i heard the old 215's are insane in the rain, but the new 615's bad in wet. more details about the Azenis RT-615 please. debating between these and the Kumho MX, for street tire straightline traction.

well i have the fk451's and they do run smaller than most. i have an old kumho supra 712 in 275-40-17 and thats the same as the falkens and the falkens look about an inch narower. i mean there is a big differance and the contact patch is small.
there ok in the heat but when its cold i can spin thwm even at a quarter gas i mean they spin easy.

I have 245/45/17's and 255/45/17's Kumho MX's on my S10, and they are simply amazing!! I've done a few track days now at Road America, and they are just awesome. As for straight line performance, they are good in that category as well. Plan on getting those for my t/a when i decide on new wheels.

If I had to guess, going by the size of the tread blocks and compounding that was developed to compete with much lower treadwear rated tires, it looks like the 615s would have to beat the MXes for traction. Now, which one has the stiffer sidewall, which will hurt your launch (but make for much better left-right response/handling) I just don't know. Anyone??

Cheap but wear out easy is the consensus, seems like i wore out my front tires faster than the rear. looking to purchase in the nex week or too depending on work schedule..
