Default lug nuts snapping off????

i was driving down the road last night right by my hous and i heard a thumping.... i look out my window and my rear drivers side rim is wobbling... all my lug nuts snapped off but two, and one of the two that was still on there was loose so i go to tighten it and i put the socket on there and that lug snaps off.... i only have one lug nut holding my rim on, and all the other ones are snapped off, to far to put a lug on... what caused this and what should i do to fix it?

Probably a combination of over tightening/old studs was the cause.

Yup, over TQ'ing can cause them to come off. Last time the wheels were installed did you use a tq wrench?
