Is your car lowered?? You should only need to do the BFH mod to the fender well fender rolling is required when running bigger rims along with bump stop modification. You only need to BFH inside the leading edge of the tire(towards inside of fender wheel).

ultimately it depends on whether you feel like being safe or sorry... what are your plans for the vehicle? is there gonna be a lot of body roll involved or is it mainly just street driving? you say BFG 315's which are pretty wide and I'd recommend doing for sure the BFH mod and possibly rolling the fenders for insurance purposes. no need to be slicing up a nice set of $400 worth of new tires

An absolute must that i never see anyone suggest is a double rod ended panhard bar. This helped out alot when getting mine not to rub. I also BFH, rolled the fenders, Z28 bump stops, DMS springs, and had to run about 34 psi. Although I run GSD3's and they are by far the widest 315 out there and do not have the stiffist side walls so if I can get these not to rub, just about any other 315 will work fine.

I was running Eibach Prokit springs with Koni shocks and Sumitomo 315/35zr17 tires. I had plenty of room with doing the BFH only. I agree that fender rolling is added security for not slicing your tires....every car is a little different so do whatever it takes to make you comfortable running the wider tires.
