Default My new Hoosiers

Well I got my Hoosier DR's in the mail today. My ZR1's should be here by the end of the week or early next week. I'm pretty excited about this tire. It seems to be awesome from what I've seen so far. I'm really not sure why all of the credit goes straight to the Mickey Thompson DR over these. I am coming from a MT and this compound is noticeably softer. I am quite confident that this will be a very hard 60' footing tire. Anyways, here's some pics, I think some of you guys should look into these, it looks like a very quality tire!

By the way, the tire size is 315 and in the second picture I've got them sitting next to my 275 fronts...

These tires don't get the credit they deserve. They work way better then the Mt drag radials. Hope you have a rear end fund going with these.

That's one awesome looking tire. Are those 17" tires? If you got that tire in a 315/50R15, they'd have enough sidewall to really make a statement. I like them a LOT. Are they a R1 compound? The MT's are R2 in the street drag radial.

Lol actually I'm still on the stock rear. We'll see how long she lasts... Yeah, it's a 31535R17. I'll get some pictures of them on the car here soon!

Emphasis on "day" as in 1 day - lol (although it is an auto which makes it easier on the rear)

Oh yeah, I totally expect it. I'm shooting for a big boom... Big heads/cam setup...4000 stall, it'll be a good show. But when that new rear does go in with the 373s it'll make for one nice hard 60 which is what I'm really looking forward to!

You running those on 10" or 11" wheels. I had 315 MT Dr's but they were on XR-1 aftermarket wheels, so, I went back to the stock '01-'02 OEM Speedline 9.5 X 17's. They would almost work on these 9.5" wheels ... just curious what wheels you have them on. I want these, but, but have to go back to some wider wheels ... lighter ones than those ZR-1's I had.

I'm running these on a set of 17x11 rears and 17x9.5 fronts. Black/Polished lip. I really wouldn't put a 315 tire on a 9.5 rim. Just because it fits doesn't mean it's right and it won't be good for the structure of the tire. For a 315 you really a rim that's a little bigger than that.
