Default 18 Inch MT Radial

Well as a b day present my dad got me a set of new MT drag radials... He was supposed to order 315/35/17's... I picked them up from the warehouse and they are 18's....

My dad owns and 4 x4 shop in AK and the supplier is here in portland but it would be a bitch to get them exchanged.

How are the 18 inch DR's traction wise compared the 17 inch. I had 18 inch nittos on my Z06 and they weren't so good, great for all around driving though. Are the MT's that much better?

I don't know if I can afford a set of CCW's or I forged after the rear this summer and the engine\transmission last summer

I recently installed some MT 305/35r18 on my Trans Am and they hook EXTREMELY well. I'm not making the power you are, but my car has seen 1.49 60' times on a 15" MT radial, and these 18" hook every bit as good on the street. Don't compare them to the Nittos by any means. I've got the Nitto 315/35r17 on my Z28 and they won't hook even in that ~300HP monster

Thats funny, I have 18X9.5 Z06 wheels and was looking for the best fitting MT tire for them.
