MT's are better, Nittos will last longer. that's about all there is to it, assuming you're comparing the same sizes.

I would turn off the traction control if you can.. I can in my car but I'm not sure if it is the same in all f-bodys or if it was an optional thing to have the tcs switch.

Just for the dragstrip? Not daily driven? Then yes, Mickey Thompson drag radials. Nitto drag radials last longer and are better for rain and handling but they are not as sticky.

If you want to hook, go M/T. If you want to spin, get Nittos

Get your suspension lined out and heat them well and the Nittos will work fine. I'm sure that you can find a link to BMR's website somewhere around here to get what you need for traction.

I chose the Nittos because I drive my car daily, and it seemed the best choice for that even though I know the mickys hook better.

This. M/Ts for the strip.

For a street ride M/Ts on a set of 15"s and regular street tires on another rim. Nittos are a damn joke of a DR and I would never even consider buying them. If you must run a DR on the street at least go with the BFGs(mine have like 6k+ miles on them still look decent).

Does anyone drive their M/T drag radials around on the street in their weekend warriors?

For track use I would definitely go with the M/T drag radial.

there is no comparison between the two.. nitto's are no better than regular street tires in my book

I run my mickeys everywhere my car goes.. they are ok in rain until the get some wear then it gets kinda scary but on dry pavement my car hooks just as good with the m/t radials as it does with regular m/t et street slicks..

Ntto "Extreme drag" 555r got me from 2.1 60ft to 1.7 60 ft...so they are better then street for sure...but everyone says MTs are better...and I believe it.
