People of San Diego: An evil LS1-powered Baja VW Bug is terrorizing your beloved city.
I must start by adding that reckless driving isn’t and should never be condoned, but gosh darn it, that’s one sweet looking dune buggy! It looks mean, sounds badass and apparently it can drive over anything—literally.
A sponsored video titled “Urban Assault – Shark Attack San Diego” surfaced on YouTube a few days ago, and so far has racked up over half-a-million views and worldwide attention since. And do you know who’s attention it also attracted? The San Diego Police Department. [Maybe they should check Instagram or Facebook.]-Ed.
Why the Police you may wonder? Well, this 800 horsepower VW Bug gives no craps whatsoever about road safety, driver safety, pedestrian safety, or any other kind of matter relating safety or laws. And that’s exactly why the Police are currently investigating.
Yes, jumping over stuff, doing donuts in parking lots and driving on walls is freaking cool, and even more so when you have a machine capable of handling such abuse. But what is not cool is doing so while exposing others to unnecessary danger.
