Camaro vs. Boss 302 Street Race Turns Into Ridiculous Argument

By -

What was originally planned to be a test trip on the streets of ‘Mexico’ becomes a tedious affair with no real winners.

There are many ways to test your LS build, from trips to the strip, to a day at the dyno, even a simple trek on the track. For some, though, the cover of night on the streets of ‘Mexico’ is where more than just testing occurs.

YouTube channel Valley Racing was on the scene to capture the action between King Of Kings Racing’s nitrous-powered fourth-gen Camaro versus 1503 Racing’s Boss 302 Mustang. If you were hoping the Camaro came out on top, keep reading.

“Both cars just wanted to test their cars, so they met up for a low dollar test pass/race,” writes Valley Racing at the start of the video, where both teams are hammering out the rules for the affair, which has $600 on the line.

Alas, the police arrived at the first spot, so both teams and other onlookers moved on to ‘Compton Speedway.’ Once there, the groups hammer out where the finish line will be, as the street has multiple choices, according to Valley Racing. The Boss 302 team heads out to scout both lanes for themselves and the Camaro.

Things go sketchy from there, for while the Camaro makes a successful burnout, the Boss 302 gets one good one out before things start squeaking. The driver claims the pony “doesn’t feel right,” restarts the car to try again, and still can’t rock it. Eventually, the drivers are switched, and the Mustang gets its groove back.

Following a second burnout for the Camaro to reheat the tires after waiting on the Mustang to get it together, the two cars are placed into position, with the orange F-body receiving a one and a half car headstart. Unfortunately, it would be for naught, as the white pony took off while the Camaro broke before crossing the traffic lights.

“Bottom line is, unfortunately, the car didn’t work. I think it was as pretty fair as it was gonna get,” said one of the members of 1503 Racing. “Being that it was only 300 bucks, I don’t think it’s even really worth arguing about it.”

But argue both sides did for the rest of the video. Street racing has quite the drama at times, especially when it comes to Chevy vs. Ford.
