Chevy SS (Could be) Getting Manual and More In 2015

Sorry if I’m a little open with my happiness that GM might be releasing the SS with a stick… But come on. The biggest cop-out of the year was GM only issuing this car—their champion in the sports sedan arena—with an automatic. I know at this point it’s just a matter of preference. GM’s transmissions aren’t awful in general, and the one attached to their V8s have traditionally been very good (Chevy SS included.) This is a sports-sedan though. It deserves a clutch as much as it deserves the 415 horsepower coming from under the hood.

I can’t profess to know what GM plans to do with this car in the near future. Holden’s future is a bit dicey at the moment, and while GM is moving production to the states, that’s not to say they’ll keep building the SS forever. We don’t even know if they’ll build another one. So for now, this is good news.

Let’s just hope that they actually do it.
