Chevy Unveils Terrifying LT4 Powered Camaro
As you all are most likely aware, the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas is currently getting underway, and because of that, we’re seeing some absolutely wild things coming out of the show.
Chief among them is this 1970 Chevy Camaro. On the outside of the car, it looks like your everyday resto-mod hot rod, but delve a little deeper and this Camaro is anything but every day.
Using an LT4 crate engine from Chevy performance, this is essentially a Z06 Camaro. That means this Camaro is pumping out 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque from its 6.2-liter supercharged engine, which is mated to a Tremec T-56 Magnum six-speed gearbox. To make the car go around corners, it has a fully independent and adjustable front suspension, and a four-link setup with coilovers in the rear.
It additionally received a set of modern Z06 brakes to make this beast stop on a dime. And for added measure, it also has a six-point roll cage. We’d love to see this beast in action.
So, is this giving anyone the urge to build something truly ludicrous with the LT4 engine?
