Corvette Street Racer Grabs Gears While Holding His Coffee

When you gotta go, you gotta go. And we mean going, not ‘going.’

We can’t really condone street racing, at all. However, if you’re going to bomb around the streets in a way that would get you summarily executed in some countries, you should at the very least do so properly fueled. That means not only the right high-octane (or, more likely, E85) gas, but also some good people-fuel. This Corvette street-racer featured on 1320 Video manages to make some neck-and-neck pulls while holding a cup of gas-station coffee!

Street racing typically takes place late at night in remote places. It makes perfect sense that someone wringing the neck of a 600-horsepower Corvette needs some caffeine. Of course, sometimes that means throwing a couple of bills at a gas station cashier to avoid getting left behind by the local crew. From there, it’s just the small matter of holding the cup and wheel in one hand at more than 100 miles per hour.

This all takes place, of course, in “Mexico.” So says 1320, anyway. The assortment of cars all seem to make considerably more than 500 horsepower. That makes for long, hard pulls at extremely high speeds. Boy, Mexican roads sure look empty.

The cars in this group fill it up the Mexican roads some incredible sound and speed, though. The silver CTS-V runs hard and loud about three minutes in. And of course the bevy of Corvettes make joyful LS noise on the way to speeds in the mid-to-high 100s.

Drink it all in here, thanks to 1320 Video. And be sure to drink in your coffee, as well, in case a few thousand horsepower doing work on the highway doesn’t wake you up. Hopefully, you’re drinking decent coffee, but if you’re out street racing, beggars can’t be choosers.
