This Datsun is All Corvette
It doesn’t matter what kind of car, how old, or what make it is. You can always bet that someone, somewhere has taken it upon themselves to swap in a Chevy V8. This particular example is just awesome though, and begged to be featured.
What you see before you is a 1969 Datsun 240Z, and if you are unfamiliar with the name Datsun, it’s because they were incorporated into Nissan a few decades ago.
When new, the 240Z was a great car. It was super light. It had great handling, and was fairly cheap against other sports cars it competed with. However, where it always lacked was in the power department. Fast forward to the modern day, and that power issue is easily fixable with a quick LT1 swap.
This car has a 4th generation Corvette motor which should be more than adequate to power this light Japanese car. However, it’s slightly let down due to the fact it has an automatic instead of the 5-speed manual.
That however shouldn’t dissuade you from buying it, and buy it you can since it’s currently up for sale on eBay for just $12,950.
