For the longest time, the Cadillac CTS-V has been the performance car for the brand. It’s rather healthy V8, combined with the overall good looks made it a cult automotive hit. Meaning if you have one, hold onto it, it’s going to go up in price. That said, Cadillac has been looking to not only expand its more production friendly lineup, but also the V-Series. Now, we have our first glimpse of the company’s newest offering, the ATS-V.

2016 Cadillac ATS-V Coupe

Using a twin-turbo V6, this ATS-V churns out a staggering 464 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque, which is 4 more horsepower than the C7 Corvette. In this week’s episode of Ignition on MotorTrend, Carlos Lago takes this new wild beast for a spin not only on the road, but also on the asphalt of The Circuit of the America’s track in Austin, Texas to see what’s what.

How though could you go wrong with a twin-turbo V8, RWD, and a manual transmission?
