‘LS1Tech’ Member Selling an 1,100-horsepower 2010 Camaro

2010 Camaro SS

Camaro is fitted with a twin turbocharged, stroked LS3 along with suspension and aesthetic upgrades.

The 5g Camaro SS was a solid performance car in stock form, but part of the allure is the ease with which the LS3 engine can be built to make big power. In fact, for those willing to spend big money, one of these LS3-powered muscle cars can offer well over 1,000 horsepower. The problem is that not everyone knows how to build such a car, or even where to go to have a shop build a 1,000-horsepower Camaro SS. Fortunately, if you are in the market for a Chevy muscle car with more than a thousand street-friendly horsepower, this car posted in the LS1Tech Marketplace by HudsonGT500 might fit the bill perfectly.

1,100-Horsepower Camaro

When the OP posted his heavily customized and modified 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS, he started with the following basic introduction.

Selling my 2010 Camaro with 62xxx miles on the body, less than 1000 miles on new engine. Car has too many mods to remember and list (both cosmetic and performance). Contact me for any specifics. I have all receipts for work performed. Original color under the wrap is black, and the paint is in good condition. Car has a mild tune on it, definitely can to be dialed in more to reach max potential but it’s a flame throwing monster as is. Basically everything has been modified and upgraded from the engine & trans to drivetrain & suspension. Drivable on the street.

The seller also listed all of the upgrades inside, outside and under the hood of his Camaro SS, along with sharing 11 photos of the car. We have included a few of them here, but for a look at all of the pictures and the full details, click here to check out the original thread in the Marketplace.

Twin Turbocharged LS3

The heart of this 2010 Camaro is an LS3 V8 that has been stroked to 416 cubic inches and fitted with a monster twin turbo setup. It is conservatively tuned to 1,100-horsepower, but the OP claims that it could be safely turned up to 1,400 horsepower. He provided in-depth detail on the build, which you would expect from a build like this.

This twin turbo muscle car is listed for $55,000, so it isn’t a car that just anyone is going to buy, but if you want a well-built 5g Camaro with over a thousand horsepower on a gentle tune, this car is hard to beat.

2010 Camaro SS

"Before I was old enough to walk, my dad was taking me to various types of racing events, from local drag racing to the Daytona 500," says Patrick Rall, a lifetime automotive expert, diehard Dodge fan, and respected auto journalist for over 10 years. "He owned a repair shop and had a variety of performance cars when I was young, but by the time I was 16, he was ready to build me my first drag car – a 1983 Dodge Mirada that ran low 12s. I spent 10 years traveling around the country, racing with my dad by my side. While we live in different areas of the country, my dad still drag races at 80 years old in the car that he built when I was 16 while I race other vehicles, including my 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and my 1972 Dodge Demon 340.

"Although I went to college for accounting, my time in my dad’s shop growing up allowed me the knowledge to spend time working as a mechanic before getting my accounting degree, at which point I worked in the office of a dealership group. While I was working in the accounting world, I continued racing and taking pictures of cars at the track. Over time, I began showing off those pictures online and that led to my writing.

"Ten years ago, I left the accounting world to become a full-time automotive writer and I am living proof that if you love what you do, you will never “work” a day in your life," adds Rall, who has clocked in time as an auto mechanic, longtime drag racer and now automotive journalist who contributes to nearly a dozen popular auto websites dedicated to fellow enthusiasts.

"I love covering the automotive industry and everything involved with the job. I was fortunate to turn my love of the automotive world into a hobby that led to an exciting career, with my past of working as a mechanic and as an accountant in the automotive world provides me with a unique perspective of the industry.

"My experience drag racing for more than 20 years coupled with a newfound interest in road racing over the past decade allows me to push performance cars to their limit, while my role as a horse stable manager gives me vast experience towing and hauling with all of the newest trucks on the market today.

"Being based on Detroit," says Rall, "I never miss the North American International Auto Show, the Woodward Dream Cruise and Roadkill Nights, along with spending plenty of time raising hell on Detroit's Woodward Avenue with the best muscle car crowd in the world.
