Imaginary wagons become a common theme in the auto Internet these days. One moment you’re freaking out because you just saw some incredible sports car-turned shooting brake, the next you’re sobbing in the corner because, for Graphic Designers, everyday is April Fools day. About 99 percent of those renderings are fake. Except this one.

Callaway is building the Chevrolet Corvette “AeroWagen,” and they’ll start to be delivered later this year. The custom piece isn’t really all that complicated. It can be applied to any C7 Corvette, including (of course) the Callaway Corvettes. The rear fascia will look the same. The interior will be the same (no seats added). The targa top remains. It’s essentially just a new piece of elongated carbon fiber that uses the same OEM seal, hinge, and latch. It simply makes the cargo space much larger. Aside from that, the biggest change is that the drag coefficient will go down a bit.

The price hasn’t been released yet, but previous reports indicate somewhere around $20,000-$25,000. The installations will take place in Connecticut and California.
