Built Not Bought.

This is a saying in the car enthusiast world, and it is one that often defines many ideologies within this subculture. In fact, it is very simple and rings true in the minds of many. After all, it is more respectable to have worked on and built one’s own vehicle from the ground up rather than to have simply purchased an already-perfect ride. This isn’t to say that buying a car with some modifications is bad, but rather that making it your own is where the magic happens.

LS1Tech member blackedout drop ls1 bought his 1998 Camaro Z28 when it was bone stock, and, as he says, it is now “one of the nicest Camaros around.” Today we’ll step inside his garage and take a look at the beauty that lies within!

This blacked out Z28 is certainly nowhere near stock, and we’re glad for it. As it sits now, the ride has a 2005 LS2 motor, a built T-56, Monster Stage 3 clutch with Tick Master, an MGW short shifter, a Z06 mass airflow sensor, Bilstein shocks and struts, slotted and drilled rotors, Petrol Racing wheels, an SS hood, an SS spoiler, 5% tint all the way around, a Billet grille, a 2002 black leather interior (excluding the dash and steering wheel), and much, much more. This ride has been highly modified and is now one amazing high-powered machine!

It’s hard to look at blackedout drop ls1’s ride and not be a but jealous of all he had done to it. After all, that type of work takes quite a bit or motivation!

Go drop by his garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a good time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week!
