Wouldn’t you love it if while you were in college you also spent your weekends as a race car driver? Though it seems like a far-fetched dream from the perspective of most — after all, the term “broke college student” didn’t come out of thin air — LS1Tech member fergymoto has managed to attain this dream, and we’re sure that he enjoys every minute of it! We know that we would.

Today we’ll step inside his garage and take a closer look at his race car that lies within!

Fergymoto is interested in drag racing, motocross, and snowboarding. Despite being a college student and doing so much in his spare time, he finds the time to do work on LS1 and LT1 engines on the side! We’re impressed with how much he’s accomplished, and maybe a little jealous too.

His race car is a 2002 Firebird Top Sportsman, and it is definitely far from any streetcar. The ride has a Glasstek body, Jesel belt drive and shaft rockers, titanium valves, Venolia pistons, Oliver rods, and so much more. The car runs the 1/8 mile is 4.06 seconds at 177 miles per hour, so this beast was build for speed!

Fergymoto is currently working on a 2000 Trans Am WS6 right now, and we’re excited to see how it turns out! Go check out his garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a great time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week on RIDE ON!
