Sweet Chevys Take Over Indianapolis

Indiana’s most famous venue is the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and the Speedway’s most famous manufacturer is Chevy.

The most famous race track in the world has had a partnership with General Motors for decades, not only because the Chevrolet brothers used the grounds to test their earliest creations, but because the field of racing cars has been lead by a General Motors vehicle dating back to the late eighties.

With the race always taking place on the last weekend over memorial weekend, the entire month is filled with racing-related festivities including car shows, festivals, parades, etc. In fact, many of these vintage and modern Chevys belong to current and ex-Indy race drivers.

Various resto-mods, classics and  hugely customized Ford hot rods gathered on Main Street, just blocks away from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and some of the Indycar team factories, and not to mention even a Chevy-powered Indycar made its appearance at the show!
