The Perfect Car: Camaro Z/28
I may or may not have quoted Richard Hammond when driving the Camaro Z/28 shouting “I AM A DRIVING GOD!!!” I can’t be sure. Although that’s what all the other journalists said I was saying when they “heard” me coming down the front straight of the track. But who can really trust them?
Ok I’ll admit it; I said it, because that’s what this car does to you. You just bellow and scream and squeal! This car isn’t just a good car. It’s the perfect car. I drove so many different awesome cars around the track that day. This was by far the best.
It’s not like a GTR where, while fast as all get up, isn’t much of a driver’s car. There are too many systems, too many electronic nannies that make you look like you are a racecar driver. You’re not really accomplishing anything with the GTR.
The Camaro Z/28 is the complete opposite. When you get a turn right, you struggled to get the turn right. This car is on the ragged edge between a full on racecar, and a road car. I can’t believe it’s street legal.
