Who is testing the new Corvette Grand Sport this week: Car and Driver; Road & Track, Motor Trend, perhaps? WRONG! It’s ever lovable John Davis at Motor Week! Yes, America’s longest running car show has gotten their hands on the C7 G/S and run it through the rigmarole and battery of instrumented testing to bring you the facts and figures that matter.

So, what does Mistah Davis think about the new Grand Sport? Davis praises the Grand Sport’s on-track manners and naturally-aspirated purity. The Motor Week test vehicle was loaded with the go fast parts: Michelin cup tires; Z07 performance package; and the quick-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission.

Davis wraps up his review by noting that this particular Grand Sport is only about $6000 less than a base Z06, but that it is also $6000 that could be spent on track days. Amen.
