Vengeance Racing Breaks in 2015 Z06 With Three-Mile Burnout
The new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is comprised of maddening numbers. 650 horsepower, and enough torque to turn those brand new Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires to complete ash in seconds.
With the deliveries of this ridiculous piece of engineering only just beginning, some who have received their new toy are already burning the hell out of those very expensive back tires. Indeed, our good friends over at Vengeance Racing just had their Z06 delivered and took the time to thank their local Chevy dealer—with a massive burnout.
According to the shop, that burnout was promptly followed by another burnout for the next three miles. You know, to break the car in. When everyone got back to the shop with the car, it was immediately put up onto the dyno to find out the real numbers of the motor.
This did not disappoint. 587 horsepower, and 617 lb-ft of torque. That’s a hell of a engine right out of the box.
Of course, the guys at Vengeance have more in store for their new ride, but for the moment those plans are being kept secret. However, considering they were the first shop to tune a C7 to 1000 wheel horsepower, their Z06 will most likely be extremely formidable very soon.
