Vetter slash C6 Corvette Based LS3 supercar

Vetter Slash is a remarkable C6 Corvette based supercar with a whole new look, and it could be yours for a cool $95,000.

There certainly is no shortage of people modifying C6 Corvettes. In fact, there are even a handful of companies turning them into supercars. At least, what they call supercars. Regardless of how you might define a supercar, some remarkable things are happening to Corvette chassis. Take, for example, the Vetter Slash.

Recently, this monster came up for sale in a Facebook group for buying and selling exotic cars. Exotic, though, is almost not descriptive enough to outline this beast. It takes the silhouette of a C6 Corvette and changes the body lines completely. The end result is something that looks like it came out of a concept sketchbook for cars that could never be reality. It’s as real as it gets, though, and it’s got performance figures to back the looks up.

Vetter Concept Supercar built on C6 Chassis with LS3 and Paddle shift Transmission

The Vetter makes use of an LS3 parked under the hood and sends power to the rear wheels via an automatic transmission. The ad states that it is a paddle-shift setup, so we imagine it’s a stock C6 transmission. What isn’t stock, though, is the brakes and suspension. It will do zero to sixty miles per hour in just four seconds and makes 450 horsepower.

What really gets us going, though, is the design work. While it is stirring quite a controversy in the Facebook comments, we have to say it looks pretty cool. On top of its crazy body lines, it also features a pair of reverse-opening gullwing doors, front and rear-facing cameras, and staggered twenty-inch wheels.

Mike Vetter Concepts The Car Factory Slash LS3 C6 Corvette Kit Car

Where did it come from, though? If this is the first time you’re hearing of Vetter, you likely aren’t alone. Allow us to enlighten you. The branding on the car comes from the last name of its builder, Mike Vetter. Vetter and his wife run The Car Factory in Micco, Florida. They have brought many a crazy car design to life and even built the Vaydor that The Joker drives in the hit movie Suicide Squad.  It certainly seems the Vetters are not new to designing custom cars.

2020 Vetter Slash Kit Concept Corvette C6 LS3

According to the add posted by Shannon Vetter on Facebook, this car is titled as an ASPT (assembled from parts) vehicle with the model year 2020. Which, in Florida, is a title for a custom-built vehicle. While it is relatively common in the motorcycle and chopper world, an ASPT title on a car is a bit less common. That means, in the eyes of the government, this is not a Corvette. It’s just a custom-built car that uses a Corvette chassis as parts. Interesting indeed.

What will it cost you to find yourself in this beast, then? It is currently listed for sale for $95,000. While that is a whole lot more than one would spend on a nice C6, we would argue that it’s pretty worth it if you have the capital laying around, After all, when are you going to see another one cruising down the streets?
