Why didn't you put a stock LS2 in your mustang and run mid 10's rather than build a stroked 302?
The answer in most cases is: "because that's what we wanted to do".
My car is a daily driver, doesn't cam, gets 20+ mpg and has all the creature comforts. At the same time I can change the tires and make consistent 10 second passes. Which is exactly what I wanted it to do.

Thats what Im doing. A stock 6.0L with a cam and my Mustang should run well into the tens. I paid $500 for the motor.
I have been the small block Ford route a hundred times and Im all set with them for a while.
Ill bet with a 150 pill and some light weight wheels and tires you could go some 10.50s. Very impressive for such a mild combo.

a non nitrous Mild LS1 Im sure can be made to run 10s..
Just a stall, cam only and gears on an auto and weight reduction can most probably do it, without using nitrous
the 224 and 5.3 H/C car running 10s is good, but I think there are milder setups out there (not trying to steal your thunder)... Hell I have a 402 Z28, M6 3.73s and I still havent ran 10s yet..
there are many options out there.

I think you will be really happy with that 6.0 swap. Imo I don't know why anyone still runs small block fords in those cars anymore. LOL those cars downright fly with ls based engines. A frined of mine runs in 10s with a bone stock ls2 on HP! Good luck with your build!

Ok just cerious is all. Actually i thought about using a LS1/6.0. Then I realised how more potential the 351C/351W offered (ME) over the LS1. I might do a swap later on if chevy catches up with ford in after market parts. Oh and my 302 is way cheaper then LS2. Dude realise im not here to try and **** ya off or start a war just was wondering is all. You have a very nice setup.. But the nitrous might get expensive after while! My buddies old 2002 WS6 had a ATI S/C on it and it was a beast. Seem like we replaced bearings once a year with the Nitrous.
Show me ONE Mustang on stock unmodified suspension that can pull a
mid 1.4 sixty foot. I can show you at least one Vette that does it pretty consistantly.

26" tires, 6spd rear, stock heads, stock suspension, full exhaust, torquer v2 cam, 3600 yank, and 150 wet shot pulling 9* of timing.
10.6 @ 129.6
it was kindof a sleeper...
Since then I've went with 325 M/T out back and skinnies up front (prostars), and just put a PTC nitrous converter in it a few wks ago. Gonna spray the 200 hit this season and run race fuel
