Default First pass on new build

Pretty happy with the first pass on the car, in the 10.90s, and the second pass on the 10.70s. Hopefully this weekend I can 60 foot it better and MPH more since it’s only going to be in the low 50s out. It’s a stock bottom end 6.0 in my Nova at 10-11 pounds of boost leaving at just off idle and shifting 800rpm early. I see some sub 10.50s if I actually try and launch the car

It made 540whp on the dyno at 6600 at 10 pounds. I was shifting at or just before 6000 on both passes. Now that I’ve gone through the whole car and made sure everything was still tight and no issues, I’ll try and make boost at the line and hold my shifts longer and go for broke before the track closes for the winter

That’s awesome! Car is making great power! Be really neat to see how it does raising the shift point!

Made it back to the track and ran two great passes, car keeps getting faster. The third pass I broke the drive shaft in two pieces which bent my panard bar. The upside is it had a 1.47 sixty foot on that third pass and I safely got the car to the side of the track

That is getting it done!! You are 0.4 sec faster than me with the same mph.

If you can swing it, get a CF driveshaft. You will like it.

How much are they? I got the car weighed at the track today and I’m heavier than when I had a big block TH350 and a 10 bolt out back. Car weight 3380 with me in it and 15 gallons of fuel

Oh nice. You are not too heavy. It will run you about 900 depending on vendor. DSS did mine.

Got to love our Nova’s. Here’s a video of when I broke the drive shaft. I think I may of been 9.90s in that pass, I was 2.4 tenths quicker to the 330 than my 10.3 pass before the drive shaft broke

I only got nine passes on that drive shaft before it broke. I’m out till the spring, it’s cold here and I just had ankle surgery. I’m pulling the leafs out and putting coil overs in the back this winter(I already have ladder bar suspension under it) If I recover from ankle surgery soon enough I might attempt to mini tub it. We will see though.

Where’s VMP? The way you did your turbos is almost exactly like the way I did mine, what intercooler is that? How do you like that intake, I’m still running the stock truck intake but I want to change it purely for looks reasons.

VMP IS Virginia motorsports park in Dinwiddie near Petersburg. yes I like the intake but you can hear a lot of air flowing through it the intercooler came from 0n3 performance but it is only good to 800 hp I only paid $150.00 for it your looks good every thing on this build was bought on ebay another pic of intercooler.https://scontent-iad3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...7e&oe=5AA1D631

I was thinking of going with the Holley high-ram, the FAST LSXRT or the Edelbrock intake. I’m not sure which one yet though. I built my whole set up through eBay except the pan and cam shaft. Lol. My intercooler outlet faces to the back of the car I kind of wish I got one like yours but it was about the same price as the one you got and rated the same I think and was an eBay special. My hood clears it by about a 1/2 inch on the front corner
