Default In the 10's with new stroker :)

Vehicle is a 1997 S10 that ran with a LQ4, 243's, old G5x3 cam, 1 7/8 headers, 350 turbo with TCI 3500 converter, 8.8 rear with 4.10 gears last season and it ran really well for what it was. Over the winter I built a 421 stroker with 823 heads,TSP stroker cam, bone stock LS3 intake, and a 4000 FTI converter. The dyno showed it running out of breath at only 5800 rpm so I ordered a bunch of new stuff that didn't make it in time to be changed out for the race last weekend so i ran it as is, with a best of 10.81 pulling the wheels, and I won the class. New upgrades getting ready to be installed: Katech CNC 821 heads, custom cam from cam motion, Fast High HP intake. Truck is full weight with a bench seat, no fiberglass anything, heater and wipers still intact.

Yea, i had been talking to NAVYBLUE210 and took his advice to order this intake. I think the piston speed of my stroker is just too much for that LS3 intake to keep up. I'm curious to see what rpm my motor will peak at with the Fast High Hp intake.

Him and I both run that intake. It’s a decent choice. The Stock intake won’t keep up to the flow of the new heads either and I don’t like the runner harmonics for real HP either

Finally made it back to the track. Truck went 10.81 on March 3rd in 38 degree weather with LS3 intake. Went back 4-13 and ran 10.70 with 89 degree temperature with Fast HP intake, having huge traction problems that will need to be sorted out.

119 before and 125 now. The huge air temp difference between the March run and the April run hurt me a 1/10 or 2, plus my slicks are shot. I have a new set coming and i will try again this coming weekend. I will post results.

Not sure because the Ls3 intake peaked at 5800 and did a nose dive after that so he didnt pull it past 6500.

I put on new slicks, adjusted my rear coilovers and the S10 went 1.46=60 ft., 6.62=1/8, 10.46=1/4, 126mph. Very pleased!
