Trans mounted torque arm?

I finally got all the bugs worked out of my combo and cant wait to run it at the track. My problem/concearn is the trans mounted torque arm, am I playing with fire by launching the car around 5800 on slicks without relocating it?

YESsir you are!!! check the clam shell that holds the end of the torque arm its probably bent to crap like mine was.I bought a converter from yank back in february and they were offering a free crossmember with the bracket for the torque, free at the time,i think they are 200$ regular price.Works good , now i dont have to worry about breaking the tailshaft off the trans.

Damn, mine didnt even last through a 2400 foot brake stall. She went kaboom the very first time I sprayed out of the hole. The Spohn piece makes me feel good again.

Thanks for the reply guys, I will play it safe and get the crosmember before it goes down the track.

I also bent my torque arm clamshell and bracket up pretty good. I just ordered some new pieces from the dealership for now eventually want to get the relocation kit.
