I never have ether, but would like one for the safty point of view. I don't want the clutch of flywheel to explode and wreck my car or injure me. It's not likely to ever happen but if it does I would rather be safe then sorry.

The only steel bellhousing available for our cars is made by McCleod. Trans blankets are for automatics. Because clutch explosions are rare and the McCleod is expensive and a pain to install, most M6ers do without it. I don't have one although I think I should. I'm surprised to learn that anyone in the tens doesn't have one.

I don't have one yet. But I will have to get one this year. If you go 11.0 and quicker tech will be asking for SFI numbers or getting down on the ground to check for a scatter shield and there checking for SFI dampners this year too. So there's 2 items that will get me kicked out if tech is playing hard ball

Default C5's ?????

What do you do for a C5? I purchased a RCI blanket but I don't know if it will fit.

I can't find a shield for a M6/M12 car. Someone was making one but all the talk died.

After putting some holes in my stock bellhousing with an exploded clutch, I went to the Mcleod.
