Default I'm in the club!

As the subject line says, this was my first time ever to a track either as a driver or spectator. It was SOOOOOOOOO much fun. I'd say it was the adult equivalent to being a kid and going on a roller coaster ride.

So tell me, how'd me and the ol' C5 do?

I have to bring it back to the shop, was bouncing off the rev limiter in the 2-3 shift. I'm sure that cost me some E/T and MPH...wonder how much though?

Big props to the folks at Island Dragway in NJ...great bunch of friendly staff and racers there.

DA was 1405 according to online calc:

515 alt
72 deg
35% Hum
30.09 Bar

Corrected time: 11.69/119

Mods:
224/230 cam
PRC 2.5 LS6 Heads
2800Vig
3.42 Long Tubes

U need to bring your 60 ft time down to 1.6's and that would help.

you could be looking at least .15-.2 tenths once your rev limiter is moved and your shift points are set properly.

what rpms are you shifting at now ? you may need to go to at least 6500 or 6600 rpms 1-2,2-3 .....she should pulling really good for you .

I doubt the rev limiter at the 2-3 costed you much time. You spend more time getting through the 1/8th than you do at the top. Unless you were really slow responding to it.

This was on street tires? If so, very nice job. And nice job either way, especially for your first time out. That car is trapping nicely for a stalled auto with a fairly mild H/C setup. If you're on street tires, a bigger stall and some stickies will put you in roll cage territory, not to mention fixing the shifting issue. That fix and tires alone could easily do it.

Yup was on street tires...I wanted to run the car in "street form"...no special treatment like taking stuff out drag radials etc. I'm thinking I could get 11.5 next time out once the shifting is corrected. It bounced a few times before finally shifting. I could also launch it a bit harder as well. It was such a blast now I can see why it's addictive!

Pewter - ur et/mph is great. What cam/heads you running?

Thanks. I just sold the car but they were $900 Patriot LS6 heads (yes, $900 for the pair ) and a 224/228 cam. 581/588 on a 113 LSA.
