trying out et streets finally
well went up to ne dragway last night to test out the new mt et streets..26 by 11.5 15..first run on a 3200 launch with a small slip netted a 11.52 at 123 mph with a 1.76 60 foot which is my personal best to date. went around for the next run brought it up to 4300ish and side stepped it...broke the ear off the yoke on the rear of the driveshaft..pst 3.5 inch shaft to..seems strange why it broke the ear off. car is a 2000 trans am, moser 12 bolt 4.10 gears, prc 5.3 heads 235/243 eps cam fast 92 mm, l92 bottom end. put down 473/430 on a mustang dyno tuned by slowhawk..

o ya i agree i am no where satisfied with that time, i think i found the right suspension combo and tires to get there, it hooked hard, but destroyed stuff. i think what happened is the top torque arm bolts backed out and when i launched it from 4300ish it snapped the heads right off bent the torque arm mounting plates and destroyed the driveshaft..i got two bolts with no heads to extract now from the top of the diff housing

the 4 bolt design for the torque arm on the moser 12 bolts suck...everytime i did an oil change i retightened them as they would back out.. i did this before i went to the track to but mayb the 80 mile drive plus the first run allowed them to back off just enough adn then the second launch just snapped the heads off causing some good damage..this happened to me last year with the stock driveshaft and stock torque arm...im going to tack weld the heads of the bolts to the torque arm to prevent them from backing out again and let her rip good and hope for better 60's
