Help me into the 11 zone 6.0
I would love to be a member of the 11 second zone next year.
Any kind guidance or tips would be highly appreciated.
I have a 68 Nova ,8.5 posi, 3.42, th350. . .
.
With the 6.0 lq9 block I'm building I was gonna run ls3 heads, Carb intake, and in still iffy about this one but TSP 235/239 cam.
Feel free to offer better or different cams than the 1 I have here.
With 3.42 gears and a th350 are 11's possible?

Any weight reduction? Your carb intake, th350 nova wants something different than a 4l60e, plastic intake fbody would. Your car is most likely a bit heavier, and has a taller first gear than the average fbody. Might as well, it's only a few extra bucks.

agreed , that car is much lighter than a 4th gen f body especially with an LS engine in it , my old 72 nova ( virutually the same car ) ran 12.5s for me with a lot less power than your 6.0 is going to make ( iron block 355 SBC with iron 1.94 heads) it weighed 3005# with only the rear seat removed and some volvo buckets.
you didnt mention a stall convertor though and an ls engine will like a higher stall especially with a cam you will need to spin it up to where the cam starts making power and from there be able to hook it ( sticky tires/suspension) and you will be solid in the 11's

Yeah I think I'm on the right path thanks to key people like newschool72 and speedtigger. I have a pretty thought out build. I'm still stock piling a few more parts for the build. .
