Looking for the 11's need advice

Rather it's built for boost or not I still believe it should be trapping higher than what it is. There are tons of bolt on cars on here trapping around 113 and your 408 is trapping 115. Launch that baby and shift it. That 9" will hold it

Hopefully I will get back to the track soon I just need the time to adjust everything and start launching harder. I will be taking a trailer next time so I do not have to be so cautious. 120's should not be hard with better shifting, harder launch, and better DA (The last time was terrible)

Still working on getting back to the track. I just picked up and installed a bmr turbo K for the huron kit I just got so I need to get the car aligned again and hopefully hit up the track this friday. Ill be sure to update you guys.

Its a low compression 408, its not going to run the number N/A like that. Its built for a hairdryer. If it really did dyno 440rwhp somewhere in the high teens is a reasonable trap speed, 118 ish so I dont think you were that far off on your original passes.

That is what I am starting to think. I feel 115-118 would be a decent trap and with a solid 60 I can get to low 12's maybe 11.9 if all is perfect. Mike Norris out of Indianapolis tuned it and did 440hp to the tire.

I know Mike very well from his time here in FL, good dude and good tuner.

My cam only converter car ran 11.5 at 115 with a 1.52 60 foot. Norris also tuned my car. And that was last year before I changed to some stock 799 heads and a stock ls6 intake so it is a little on the rich side so I'm going to be taking it back to him and get it retuned here soon but I was down there last night and made a few pulls with a couple of guys and mine seemed to be running stronger than what it was at the track so I think it's doable for you for sure! Just a little more seat time and I'd throw a bias ply on the car IMO.

What is your suspension set up? Shocks and what not? I am leaning towards a stiff side wall slick for my next tire since I do a fair amount of street driving. Hopefully I can get to the track again soon I was starting to get a better feel for the shocks and tires last time so I think another trip will net some much better results.
I think once you get a little more seat time you'll get to were you need/want to be. I'll be going next Wednesday for wild Wednesday. What was your tire pressure again? Sorry if I missed it in one of the other post. And what tire were you using again? I ran a bias ply all year last year with no problems drove the car to the track every Wednesday and on the weekends. Finally switched to the radial this year and the car liked it better. But like I said being 6 speed the bias will be a better choice.

It's a stock suspension csr other than the front sway bar being removed and an adjustable panhard bar so I could center up the rear end to get my tires to fit right haha. Other than that it's all factory suspension.

No wonder you running low traps. Turn that bad boy. Don't build it and then be afraid to give it hell.
Depending on your dyno graph I'd be shifting in the upper 6k range and launching at nothing less than 4k. A bias ply tire would help with traction imo

Yea I'd play with my shift points. I'd try 6.5k and work up from there if mph didn't come up
I believe I was shifting my factory Firehawk at 6.5k

Having trouble getting the radials to hook. Messed with tire pressure and adjusted the shocks tonight ran a best of 12.7 @114 with a 1.9 60. Launched around 3500. Overall pretty happy since the 60 wasn't the best and the DA was terrible tonight.
Spun on 2 passes then softened the rear shocks and has a little wheel hop on one pass. Ran 18# of tire pressure then 16 and that seemed to help some.
