Default First time spraying 100 shot

My car is a '99 WS6 Trans Am with a lq4 and 6 speed manual. Last year I managed to run 11.73 @116mph. Car is a bolt on setup, lq4 with 799 heads, ls6 intake and injectors, vrx5 cam, 1-7/8" headers, 3" true duals. Made 400/382 on a dynojet. MWC tunnel mount torque arm, lower rear arms and panhard bar. Narrowes 8.8 rear with 4.10s and 26" slicks. 17x4.5 up front. No front sway bar and stock rear sway bar. Only weight reduction was passenger, rear seats, and spare tire.

This year I haven't changed much. Installed a MGW shifter, still running a stock ls7 clutch. Addded some Viking coilovers up front, stock rear shocks. Still had all the seats in it, and added a nitrous express proton kit I picked up cheap. Using a Nitrous outlet winmax window switch and car was set up to spray by pulling timing thru the traction control part of pcm. Sprayed 100 shot for the first time. Pleased with the results, I think if the other seats were out it may have went 10s. I also had a few tools in the back because I drove to the track and didn't want to leave anything laying out. I weighed the car at the local scrap yard and with me it was 3900lbs. Without me it was 3620.

Managed to run 11.21 @ 124 with a 1.58 60'. I need some rear shocks to help with the 60'. I think the trap speed is good enough for a high 10 second pass. Considering the weight and all I think it's pretty good.

Awesome job man. Bad *** shot with driver wheel up! I'd say you def got the speed for a 10. As you stated this is no light weight though. Either way sweet car!

Thanks, my buddy does a good job with the photos at the track. I was one of the slower cars there at the rental but the only one really pulling the wheel like that haha.

Thanks. Yeah mine weighed 3620 with a full bottle and 1/2 tank fuel. I think it may be off some because I weigh around 265-270 and according to those scales I weighed 280. Its at least 3575-3600.

Thanks. They are Vision 571 (Jegs SSR Star) 17x4.5 up front and 15x10 with 4.5 backspacing on the rear.

Really good considering the temp. It was cool out that day so the track temp hadn't got up very high. Most of the higher powered cars were having issues. Really good prep too, I was in on a private rental with about 30 others.

Not bad at all. I've thought about doing some weight reduction on mine. How about you? I just hate the fact that I'm damn near as heavy as a newer Camaro lol

Some double adjustable rears and a ARB would do wonders for that car (my T/A in sig used to launch like that). It runs 9.90 on a SBE 6.0 and a 150shot. For comparison, my other car SOMZ in sig went 10.5 full weight plus (cam only LS1 and a 150).
A little weight reduction and shocks and you are well into the 10's IMHO.

I plan on doing some weight reduction. I have a umi kmember. Planning on getting a racing seat and removing the others for track days. I will soon be removing the iron LQ4 and swapping in a built LS3 with a LSA supercharger on top. Probably no weight change due to heavy supercharger and heat exchanger, but definitely some power change. I'll also be adding a 5 gallon ice box in the rear so it will end up weighing more than it does now.

I'm looking into the double adjustable route. Hoping to get a set this winter as well as a BMR xtreme anti roll bar. I'm going to take out the other seats and head back to the track soon and change the jets also to see what it will do.
