Well after 20 years of owning this car, I finally made it into the 11s last night at Firebird here in Phoenix, AZ. It was a an accomplishment that I had always wanted since I first discovered racing. I had not been to the track in 10 years so it was a bit of a learning curve for me to get the car to launch well on the MT ET Streets SS. I expecting to get into the 1.5 60ft but I couldn't get anything better than 1.7x. I hope to go back to the track in the winter with some more experience, and shave a few tenths off the time. The DA was 3500 here when I made 11.95 @ 114 mph with a 1.711 60 ft.
I love your kid in the background cheering for you. I have a 7 month old and I hope to share this with them when they get older. Who knows if we will have our tracks 16 years from now though. We almost lost firebird last year here in Phoenix.
