Time for a cage.:D
I went to HRP yesterday to get in some runs before they shut down till Jan. 7th. Arrived about 5:15 and made my first run as soon as I teched in. First pass out off the freeway - in total street trim, an 11.74 @ 120.8 with a 1.81 60 ft. I then hot lapped it and ran an 11.62 @ 121.5, 1.74 60 ft. For the third run I let the car cool down for about 20 min. and ran an 11.67 @ 121.6, 1.79 60 ft. My finally run happened at about 6:20, I lowered the pressure in my Nitto RII's to 20 psi from the 26 psi, I had been running in the previous runs. I finally did what I set out to do, launched at 3,500 rpm to achieve a 1.724 60 ft/ 7.49 @ 97.29 1/8 mile/ 11.509 @ 123.04.
I would like to thank James Day and his wife Sheila who were out there as well and gave me the DA info. off their DA calculator. 52 deg. RH 44.54 BP 30.20 for a DA of -776 ft. for my last run, absolutely fantastic weather.
The car definitely has more in it, a set of slicks/skinnies and some weight reduction from it's portly 3,675 lbs and I could see some low 11's in it's future.

BTW Leo, if you don't plan on going any quicker or racing very often, hold off on a cage. NHRA is changing the rule to 11.49 or quicker on Jan 1st. So, you could probably run a few low 11s without getting too much grief from the timeslip lady.
The rear will last as long as you don't launch hard, and you prevent any sort of wheelhop.

98TAauto, I've thought about MT's but I've got decent times out of the Nitto RII's, plus they handle very well and still I've been able to keep the 10 bolt together, so I'll probably stick to them.
