With an A4 it's not usually a problem since you can brake stall it at the line so the shock is a lot lower. I'm just into the 11's on mine. 11.92 thus far. It's seen dozens of <1.8 60's and several 1.64x's so far.

I went 12.0's @ 115-116 with 1.6 60's with my old Z on the stock 10blt. Had Rich. 3.73's and big Auburn.
As was said, it's usually not as bad with a auto.
However, put a good clutch and some ET streets behind a M6 and you can break them in stock form...

I ran the 11.78 @ 119 that's in my sig on drag radials with a 1.75 - 60' time. That was dropping the clutch @ 3500 and spraying it by the time the pedal hit the top ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
For you M6 guys, one thing I do when I get to the line is pull up the e-brake and let out on the clutch some to get the slack out of the drivetrain. So far this has held up nice. OH yeah...I did that with 3.73 gears.

I ran consistant low 11s no problem on the 10 bolt. By the looks of things last week that car is a consistant mid to high 10 second car now but I added a TA cover, stud kit, and some Moser axles. As said above, A4s are much more forgiving than M6s. Short times are still in the 1.60s.

I went 11.90 with a 1.72 60' with the stock 10 bolt and 3.23 gears. I added a support cover to the rear end for a little extra strength. I have heard of automatic cars getting into the 10s with the 10 bolt.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm getting nervous because two people in the local club have broken rears and i'm putting down a little more power. I just bought a set of 555r for the rear and want to run this on the track
But I am seriously over-extending myself financially and can't afford a new rear right now.

I've been wondering about this myself. There are no 1/4 mile tracks local to where I live, so in order to get some timeslips, I'd have to take a long road trip. When I get another thing or two done, I might deem the trip as being worth it, but only if I could get better than 11.80's. I know there are a million variables, but what would a 475-490 rwhp blown six speed car with 3.42 gears run on BFG DRs, ball park? I might even go with 4.10's just to get the TA girdle cover for the tiny little peice of mind it would give me.

Don't go with 4.10's in the stock ten bolt. The gear teeth are smaller and weaker to an extent that it make breakage more likely. Are there any 1/8 mile tracks near you? Running the 1/8 could tell you an awful lot and make a 1/4 guess MUCH more accurate. 475 rwhp in a six speed with drag radials on the stock rear should be able to run 11's, but as you said there are many variables and many possible outcomes.
