Default Getting Closer can i make it?

Today i went to the track, and went 12.4 at 114. I have lq9 6.0 truck motor with 243 heads, and a comp cam 224 224 598 601. With a yanK ss 4000 stall and a 410 gear. I can't get now traction and was cutting 2.0 1.9 sixties all day on nitto drag radials. Would just slicks get me in the 11s or do a need to do more to my car. I have a ls1 intake i think thats kinda hurting me also. Thanks

Do the 243 casting have the stock valve sizes? The intake and cam are hurting you alot with that 6.0 block. What kinda suspension work do you have done to the car? A nice set of Hoosier or Mickey Thompson drag radials will help alot too.

I have never had it dyno'd for a horse power rating. The 243s have stock valves, but they are milled 15 to make it 10:5:1. I have bmr lower control arms and a adj panhard. That about it for the suspension.

You might want to look into a new non-trans mount torque arm, shocks and spring all the way around, and the new tires. Suspension upgrade make the biggest difference. I have a torque arm, LCA's, rear drag sway bar, QA1 shocks all the way around, and have removed the front sway bar. I have stock heads and cam and am cutting 1.50 60's and 11.70 ET'sina 3600LBS car.

Maybe but I don't think you will hit 11's. But the only way to find out is slap some on and go and run it. Good luck though man.
