Unhappy houston we have a problem

Took my first trip to the track with my new set up. a4 60e performer build lvl2, 3800vig. converter, 373 10bolt, ts stg 2.5 5.3 heads, ls6 intake, 231/234 tr cam, ported tb, slp lid, 160 t-stat,power bond pulley, hooker lt, borla cat back,qa1 coil overs r series up front, sfc, lca, relocation brackets,ta,295/45/17 mt dr. dyno#s 413hp 417tq. the car ran 12.12 1.74 60"@111mph. I was upset after i left the track, was hoping to get deep into the 11's. The weather was humid @82 degrees,I hope that was part of my problem. chime in and help me figure out the problem

yea you definately should have been running into mid 11's or so. But your #'s seem low... A lot of heads/cam cars putdown close to 450hp I know many people who are over 400 w/ just a cam. Who tuned your car? Humidity definately was a factor

Dyno numbers seem good for an a4 with big stall gears maybe try and get that 60ft down alittle bit were you spinning? The only thing I can think of is if you werent spinning try a bigger stall like a 4000 or 4400 but the mph seems to be down alittle bit maybe it was just a really bad air day.

Your mph is horrible for a h/c ls1...does it feel like it is pulling hard up high?

I trapped higher than that with just bolt ons, so have several others. 111 is definately off for that set up.

Your trap speed is WAY off for your rwhp. First thing I would do is make a 0-115 run and pay close attention to the transmission. What rpm does it shift at on the 1-2? What rpm does it shift at 2-3? Does it bounce the rev limiter at all? Is there an excessive delay during shifts?

If all that looks good then I would check the plugs and wires. After that I would bring the car back to a dyno and see if it's still making 400+ rwhp and at a safe A/F ratio.

Good luck.

Location/elevation/ da at the track? all big factors. 60ft is not so bad, mph is horrible. Could be a problem with the car or air at the track. I trapped 111 with only LT's and ORY, though I have a 6speed.

Cam only I'm trapping 110, stalled A4, 128,000 miles on the stock rotating assembly. I'd venture to say that your tune is off or you're running on 7 cylinders.

I was trapping at close to 115mph with a bolt ons M6. Something is off. With heads and cam I would expect no less than 120mph trap.

I let one of my friends make a pass in the car and I noticed the back of the car was bouncing after about 20 ft. the car spunt half way through 1st gear on 3 of the 4 passes car shifts pretty firm @6500rpm but when I did the head swap I checked all of of the spark plugs and one of them was cracked. So I replaced just that one. So I wonder if that could could be the problem. I know for sure that my stock back shocks are history, but could those bad shocks mak that big of a difference on my e.t?

as others have said your MPH is way low, and your 60' should be a lot better IMO then that. My bolt on car with a little TCI 3k converter with 3.73's went 1.69 in a full weight T/A

All of these generalizations about what is wrong are wrong themselves. Never generalize track times. We need to know what the DA was before assuming ANYTHING. A large inefficient stall could be to blame for a low MPH as well. What one car in one town runs or traps has nothing to do with what another one may or may not do across the country

i think you should have ran a couple more times honestly!! to just show up there and rip 12.1 right off that bat isnt so bad. u should definitely be in the 11's though.
